For four and a half years I have spent more time than I should have had to clearing out leaves and detritus from behind our wind awning case

a bad design if ever there was and although I knew you could by a cover piece it had become one of those tomorrow jobs

Had the awning replaced and ordered a cover strip, Rose forgot to order it, reminded them and it turned up last week, all of sudden it looked much harder than I expected, however today I decided to get on with it

Remarkably easier than I thought it would be, purpose made for Thule Omnistore awnings, soft enough to get in quite easily and a very good fit, easily trimmed to length with hack saw

Luckily I am quite tall and could work off a tall set of steps but well pleased with the result, even more pleased never to need to clean the gap again :)(y)

I know the roof needs cleaning, but never had time, too busy clearing the gutter channel

You'd think they'd supply that as standard, it finishes it off a treat...

Standard on a Frankia:p

for what they cost (the awnings that is) and relatively cheap price of the filler piece they should be included on all ever fitted o_O

laziness and penny pinching dealers could be the issue

I think it more likely the original buyer of your MH paid extra for the infill piece, or did you buy it new ? :)

I agree ....they should be included on all vans but so should a lot of stuff I still can't believe they don't come with a battery.

I was just on the windup with the comes as standard comment I don't know if it did or not i just know it has one fitted and it's been on there a long time ...its colour coded too
But it new???? Aye right I'm no made of money I'm one of those freeloaders remember :p I've only had it a few months
