Does anyone have the part number for a 2001 Galaxy 270 windscreen wiper arms.
The ones fitted to our used 4th hand van rub on the bonnet and hold it forward so the rubber seal catching the windscreen run off does not make a good seal. A previous owner may have fitted them. I cannot see any useable numbers on them.

Hi, did you find proper wiper arms? I have pilote galaxy 86 mx with same problem. Wiper arms were replaced and they are touching the bonet when running.

No, I have not found the correct arms. At the moment I am using two arms which I got from a scrap yard . I think they are from a Vauxhall Corsa, I am touring Cornwall at the moment so do not have the details to hand. I contacted Hayes some time ago who were not sure but thought they came off a Renualt of that era.

Thanks 68c. I will do my research and get back to you if I will find something (y)

I needed a new arm as the plastic section holding the blade had broken, not sure if they were the original item but they did rub. I have wondered if I could add a support of some kind to hold the bonnet about 5mm further forward to clear the arms I currently have. There is a depression moulded into the fibreglass section below the windscreen, it looks as if some models may have had three wiper arms. I thought an 8mm bolt drilled through there with back up washers would solve the problem. I also do not like the way the rainwater running off the windscreen is handled, the water gets sent left and right but then runs down behind the headlamps and over the chassis.

I have the feeling I wrote your post :)). Same issue for me with the plastic holder two years ago. I was stuck un the side of the road on a heavy rain when it broke. The solution for me was to lay down many sheats of ducktape up to the proper thickness and then cut it to fit like the broken plastic. It works since :))). I will put a picture to see. I left it like this since I was thinking I shoud replace the whole arm anyway. The arms that I have now are from Ducato but they are not good.
Have the same issue with water running on the left side under the bonnet but i suppose it was designed like this

The other problem I have is the windscreen washer system, the jets are built into airfoil sections clipped to the wiper blades, of course all useless now as twenty year old plastic has warped and broken. Currently using thin plastic tubing clipped to the arms with tiewraps. Messy.
