Hi all. I've installed a Domestic CRX80 in my pvc. It's powered via a 6mm cable (app 3m long) to a MPS 35 rectifier. Anyone know what size strip link fuse is needed from my distribution box please? All my 12v supply goes through a distribution box which the smaller blade fuse box is supplied from and then on to the various circuits, but the fridge comes directly from the bigger distribution box.

Looks like it's a compressor fridge so it will need a big fuse for the motor start up current. It will run at about 3 amps but starting currents can be 6 times the run current. I'd say at least a 25a fuse ?

My CRX 50 uses 5 amp fuse. Draw is less than 4a but manual says 5 amp and 6mm cable.
Have a look in the manual, I think they use the same compressor across the range and the 80 is just a larger box.

Can't argue with that ? Must have a soft start compressor or maybe a slow blow fuse (motor rated? ?)

Thanks guys, says 15a in the manual, but wasn't sure as I'd beefed up the cable.
