Just about to have my third and fourth slice of toast and marmalade for today's brekky when I learn VIP visitors are approaching...

They choose their pitch...

and settle into the main, VIP Top Lawn Pitch.

I give them a guided tour of the estate and then let them have the rest of the day off.

They have travelled 9 kms from their last park up today.

Tomorrow I reckon they will be fully rested and then...

We have been made very welcome and I must admit that this is one of the most tranquil places we have ever been

We held off writing about JJ ,s place until we were safely on the ferry! (You know that_we feel like turning back,mood?)
Out of all the places we stayed this year this was the one with
A sense of peace and relaxation that we will remember.
The blisters on our hands are hardly noticeable now, and the
Briar scratches will probably heal soon.
He has always owned up to being a magician,but I think there must be a bit of hypnotism as well, I just did not remember picking up a "rake" !!

The modern youth just want to lounge around for hours reading and chatting and sipping beer but...

Work has to be done.

Management provided the equipment and positioned the ladder and then adopted a supervisory role...

Look... well happy... (geddit?) WELL happy...

I reckon Peter has experience in this type of work...

The apprentice is pretty capable too...

Superb bucket handling technique.

Not impressed with their work ethic though... I simple explained that there was at least another hour of daylight and they were off.

Come on... admit it... activity holidays are all the rage these days and please note, there was no charge for me letting Peter and Elaine work on the bottom well.

How deep do you need to go to reach water, JJ?

The well(s) are full every January, February and March(ish) and then dry out.

I called in the bore hole drilling man and he said he would have to drill down at least 100 metres (at €30 per metre) to reach water.

So I reckon there still is a fair amount of digging left to do if I want water all the year around!
