Funster on the Ile de Ré (1 Viewer)

Been on the Isle de Ré for a couple of days and seen two lots of Funsters. First was Simon and Maggie, @dabhand who we had a chat to outside of a campsite.

But who were the Funsters who drove down into Saint Martin port before turning round at the barriers and driving out earlier today? We spotted them as we were walking back to where we had parked the scooter. They had 2 funster stickers on the rear, but I did not catch the make of van.

Dear @peterc10 enjoyed our chat, hope you don't think anything odd as why we didn't come back had a look around the Island by the time we had driven all of 12 miles at about 12 mph we got to Arse en ray at about 4.30pm and I couldn't be arsed on Reyd driving back! Hope you have a great stay

Tomorrow we are off up your way on the scooter to see that part of the Island. That is if I can get the bloody thing to start. Unfortunately the battery is flat (not been used for months) and have been having to kick start it. Reminds me of my old Lambretta days.

Been coming here for 5 years - keep saying we will miss it on the travels each year but it keeps pulling us back.

Won't work with a CVT gearbox, or I would have.

On second thoughts what is the site like? It is not on ACSI so what is the price like? Are there spaces? Maybe we won't stay on the site we are on.

It's nice here, we are very happy with it. I've just rechecked the website & if looks like the price are 12 € plus 5€ for electric per night. The showers & loos are very clean & it's a short walk to the beach.

Not yet. Still having to kick start it. I need a 6v battery charger, so will be looking for one.

Thanks Veronica, I was trying unsuccessfully to translate the Web page before realising that there was a n option to see it in English! We've had a lovely time here, the weather has been fantastic too. As soon as Alison left 92, we moved & it was definitely worth it, the other one was so dark.
I hope the rest of your trip has been good & you managed to see the tapestry.

I live in envy of those who are good with their hands because I'm useless. Which is rather sad because I come from a line of machine tool engineers:

It took me ages to locate the battery on my Honda CTX 1300 V4. I didn't expect to find it in a separate hidden compartment near the clutch lever!
