Has anyone in the world of MotorhomeFun forums ever explored the possibility of setting up a ‘share a space‘ at members homes for overnight parking exclusively for MotorhomeFun members? I for one live in the countryside (in NI) and could easily accommodate a couple of funster quick overnights with hook-up/water/toilet thrown in for good measure. Appreciate many don’t have the space but for those of us who do it would be a good bonus for being a member and add to the range of options (britstops, park for night etc) that currently exist. If you can’t be bothered being sociable you wouldn’t even need to leave the house just have a simple request system via this web site!! Apologies if this has been considered before!

Similar questions have cropped up before.
One factor is whether people are bothered about complying with maximum number of nights allowed in a 12 month period.

A good idea for those with a big enough drive, ours is only big enough for one van. Would this be available to all Funsters or only those within the scheme ?

OP specifically mentioned 'quick overnight stops'.

We would be willing to offer our yard (EHU, water, both dumps) but maybe not many takers for Poland.

We have had 3 MH members from other forums staying.

Coincidentally I was talking to a Fun member this morning who was just packing the MH for a w/e not far from us, so I offered parking but they have already made their w/e schedule, but he said maybe next time.

Does the limit apply to visiting "friends & family" or just those for pecuniary advantage?
One of the exemptions is that use of the land as a caravan site “is incidental to the enjoyment as such of a dwellinghouse within the curtilage of which the land is situated”. So, if visiting (genuine) friends or relatives sleep in their motorhome rather than in the house it is perfectly legal. Incidental enjoyment does not, though, extend to a contractual/membership relationship with an organisation aimed at providing overnight stops for other members of that organisation.

So ok for "friends"
The fact that they are "also" funsters is irrelevant.

Yes, so long as they are visiting through friendship and not as part of a scheme such as the subject of this thread.
