Hi Funsters we had a great auction last year and it would be great to do the same again this year. This is how it works.

1. Doners start a new thread in this forum offering auction items. This can be anything that might sell, it does not have to be motorhome related. Please mention whether the bidder or the doner is paying postage.
2. Funsters can bid on those items by stating their bid in a post on the item's thread.
3. On Thursday the 17th December at 9:30 pm the auction will close and the winning bid will accepted.
4. Winners swop addresses by PM, The winner sends the payment by way of a cheque made payable to the NSPCC or Help for Heroes to the doner. The donor posts the item to the Winner.
5. The doner then posts the Cheques to Dylan (Eileen) Find the Adress is here Eileen will send on the cheques and post the receipts here:thumb:
If you have anything at all you would wish to donate please say so by making a new post here and then do your best to encourage bidders.

You can put ANYTHING up for auction; anything you think will sell - Please donate what you can, and if you have nothing to donate, then please bid

Thanks Funsters:thumb:

Any Traders on the forum that want to donate something please do so. Please feel free to mention your company in the donation thread. We are not averse to a bit of commercialism when its for charity:thumb::thumb: Just tell us what you are going to donate here

Thanks::bigsmile::thumb:

Hi Jim,

So whats a usefull item that this tight fisted lot will fight over and is not limited by location, Last year I think we offered a free habitation service but thats only of interest to peope in the South East.

Please don't say a brand new Kontiki!:Eeek:

I am hoping the auction is ending on the 17th not the 19th so that we can receive any won items in time for xmas, but Jim needs to answer your question.

So Jim - which date is it please?

Eileen will be waiting until they are all in, and then sending them in together. Come on Funsters, if you need to send a cheque, try and get it sent ASAP.

I will send mine in today:Blush:

Dear Eileen Garske
Motorhome fun Christmas Auction

Thank you so much for your donation of £601.00 to Help for Heroes. We appreciate every penny that comes in and we will ensure that it is put to use providing support for the men and women who are injured in the service of our country.

When Emma and I decided to ‘do our bit to help the blokes’, wounded Servicemen and women, we had no idea that so many people felt the same as us. We are proud parents of a soldier and know what it is to have him away fighting; we also know what it is like to see his friends injured with their lives changed forever. We cannot prevent these terrible injuries but by joining together with others in support, we can do something positive and help them on the road to recovery.

Your donation will go towards the provision of services and facilities that will help the wounded launch back into the next phase of their lives. Already we have been able to fund the Headley Court Rehabilitation Complex, assist both Combat Stress and SSAFA in their excellent work and helped fund adaptive sports through the Battle Back programme. We have recently announced a £20m grant to help fund Personnel Recovery Centres in partnership with the Services and The Royal British Legion and we are now working to raise a further £20m to fund the Individual Recovery plans of those injured on duty.

Our work is by no means over, there is a great deal to do but your contribution will make a very great difference to the lives of some very special people. On behalf of all of us at H4H and all those who we will help, thank you.

With thanks

Motorhomefun Forum

Dear Eileen

On behalf of the NSPCC Cymru/Wales thank all the members of the Motorhomefun forum for your kind and generous donation of £351.50 towards our work to end cruelty to children.

While the majority of our children are able to enjoy a safe and happy childhood, even today thousands of children across Wales, face a very different reality. The NSPCC exists to put a stop to the continuing incidence of child abuse that has such a terrible impact on the lives of children in our country.

Our work to increase the awareness of problems facing children and increase our ability to identify and take action against perpetrators of abuse, has already helped to prevent child cruelty on a bigger scale than ever before. Your support in this is vital. We rely on the support of the general public for 87% of our funding. Without your support we would have to close our services within six months.

The children that we help can never thank you personally but here is a quotation from one child who has recently been supported:

‘Without the help of the NSPCC I don’t know how I would have coped. My life is now stable, I can’t forget what happened, but I am able to live and grow. I can’t thank you all enough’

If you would like to know more about the work of the NSPCC either visit our website at www.nspcc.org.uk or give me a call on
