As our plans for this year have been changed significantly we are looking at getting a small car to tow along behind us in the U.K. ONLY. We have a car in mind, Citroen C1, and an A frame, electronically braked and started to look at insurance.
Initial quote from Direct Aline, not mentioning full timing, not mentioning the a frame modification came out at a little over £200.
Quote from our Moho insurance broker taking into account the a frame modification and that we are full timing is over £800!,, and that is with a minimum £400 excess.
The explanation is the no fixed abode element which although we have a correspondence address where we are also on the electoral roll the insurers have to assume the worst possible postcode area for assessing the risks.

Where do others get your Toad insurance and do you admit to being full time so not resident at your correspondence address?
