Back in October/November we noticed that Total stations were significantly cheaper, however they had queues to match.
If you open google maps showing Calais and then search for Total you will be shown them

In September the one on the left just as you’re leaving the tunnel complex was the cheapest we spotted gojng through France to Germany.
This month same garage had gone up a fair bit but never noticed the other prices as we went into Belgium.
I filled up in Belgium as that was only a few pence more than France.
Cite Europe was also cheap in September when I filmed up before returning home.

According to Fuel Flash Mike, it's about €1.75pl around Coquelles, so that one on the left as you come off the train will do for us. (y)

That's cheaper than Morrisons and Tesco at Canterbury, and Asda and Sainsbury's at Folkestone, which are all priced at around £1.75ppl.

Cheers

Jock. :)

That’s the one I see Jock, not sure if that includes discount or they take it off that after, I think I paid around that rate in Brugge a few weeks back.

I thought that the subsidy had finished Mike. It was lowered to €0.10c with a view to possibly ending in November, but certainly no further on than 1st January 2023. I may be misinformed though. ;)

Wingingit#1. What's the diesel prices like in Spain please? Is the Spanish subsidy still ongoing?

Cheers

Jock. :)

£1.75 .... local garage in Lancashire £1.50 and superstore £1.49.
Someone is getting ripped-off.

€1.62 and €1.65 per litre less 20c (thanks Spanish Govt) in Spain today for me. Yes, two fills in a day…🤦‍♂️

Have you been tanking down the Autopistas whilst wearing lead boots Harvey?

Where are you headed for? We hope to be in the Alicante area by next Thursday/Friday. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Not been feeling great so to aid easy driving, I used lots of peage and obviously main autopista’s in Spain. 100kph most of the way too, not my usual relaxed speeds. Overnighting at Tuerrel tonight then down to Los Alcazares tomorrow.

I hope you have perked up by now Harvey. (y)

We are at Vivonne, just off the N10 now and heading south.

I am convinced that the number of roundabouts has either doubled or trebled on that D910, since we were last on this route south. :( Not sure I'll be using it again.

Cheers

Jock. :)

I gave up on the D910 because I wasn’t feeling great and hit the A10 to Bordeaux…

I think Total refineries were the ones most affected by the recent strikes.

I believe French Fuel stations have to publish their prices by law. This is a French Govt website and works really well and is absolutely up to the minute. https://www.prix-carburants.gouv.fr/

Worked really well for us when on holiday in June last year.

Cheers!

Most places off the Autoroute have been around €1.75, with only 2 x filling stations showing €1.72 and €1.69. Intermache and Super U appear to be the cheapest of the supermarket filling stations.

What we have found, is that just like Germany, the further south you go through France, the dearer fuel seems to be. :(

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Much better when you cross the border, although you’ve missed the Spanish Govt freebie of 20c per litre…
