Hhhhmmmmmm the sun is begining to get warmer, global fuel prices are still at a mighty low yet all over the UK fuel prices are steadily creeping up. I'm looking to tanking up this week and ready for the off at the first sign of a few consistant sunny days, but the barstuard rip off diesel prices are following my thoughts!!!!!

We're looking on the bright side. For various reasons we've been prevented from getting away in the van for a few months (rather longer than usual). When we fill the van up to go to Newark next week it will still be a fair bit cheaper than if we'd done it immediately after our last trip (y)

And I guess it won't be cheap for long in Europe. Oil is priced in dollars normally and the euro / dollar rate is dropping through the floor, heading for 1:1 apparently.

nail on head. Thatis what it is the fall in £ & € against the dollar.
As an American aquaintance of mine said,
" if Nixon did nothing else, fixing the oil barrel price to the $ , ****ed the rest of the world"
& that is why they won't allow anyone/anything to break the link/buy in other currencies.

was reading about one lot who bought/sold in euros , I believe. Yanks stopped the tanker at sea with a warship ( piracy basically ) & escorted it back to port until it was all denominated in $.

On the upside, the € has dived to over €1.41 to the £. (it was 1.42 overnight.)
That makes diesel in France at €1.15 a Litre down to 81p!!!
