Hello All
Anyone been in France recently ,have you had any problems getting fuel ? With this pension unrest we are off at the end of next week for our annual 16 days of motorhome fun and I don’t know which direction to go in what with the floods in the south of France floods in northern Italy might go to Portugal not near any water except the sea AND I want to be high up

Just back from 2 months in France and no, we had no problems. Went as far south as Marseillian in the south, Burgundy and Brittany. Good luck and enjoy.

Hi
I would be grateful to hear where you stayed at Marseillan as we have passed through and found attractive.

We stayed at Marseillian Plage about 3km. We cycled into Marseillan and were really impressed. Lovely place.

We’ve had no problem getting fuel, not even seen any queues. We travelled from Brittany down to Bordeaux, across to the Rhône Alps, Jura, Alsace, Lorraine, Burgundy, then back home via south of Paris ( that was busy!) finally ending up in Brittany and filled up near Malestroit this morning.
I don’t think you will have any problems getting fuel anywhere now.

Just got off the phone from some French friends who have a farm nr Reims, they say that there are problems all over france with strikes etc.Trains and underground strikes in Paris and tanker drivers are threatening strikes which may lead to shortages.Keep topped up just in case!

Just driven up from near Dijon to Gravellines, at least 3 fuel stations on the Peage were closed.

Oooerr! We set off from Portsmouth on the 6th. With a full tank we may get quite far south before needing to fill up. Hopefully we may be able to get some diesel to reach Spain.

We crossed on Sunday AM. Travelled Calais, Abbeville, Rouen, Evereux, Dreux, Chartres, Chateaudun, Blois and are overnighting on the Aire at Valencay.
Topped up with diesel at LeClerc at Blois @ €1.42. ( bank statement tells me that's £1.20 at today's rate )
Not seen ANY closures, demonstrations, queues etc all the way down.
