hi i am getting a new a frame fitted to my c1 the guy said if i want i can get a front socket fitted if i want save the wire coming out of the bonnet ,,on my aygo it scratched the paint a little bit,, do any of you who have this fitted ,have any photos of the socket fitted ,,thanks ,,

I’ve never had a front socket fitted as always bring cable out under bonnet, haven’t marked paintwork but I think a socket is probably the neatest idea provided the opening can be tidied when selling.

Hello Rob. This is a 13 pin socket on the front of our Fiat 500. If you stand back a bit you can hardly see it. The other little fitting is where the brake away cable clips. We have electrical braking.

The price I paid to LNB was for the whole job complete. I did not need a tow bar on the motorhome.
A new A frame
Internal wiring on the motorhome to indicate when the car is braking, indicators flashing and if the brake away cable is deployed.
New Cross member on the front of the car for the A frame to couple to.
Internal wiring for 13 pin socket to the cars rear lights.
2 electric air servos to apply the brakes and for emergency brakes for the brake away cable.
New rear numberplate.
New numberplate holder which allows quick change of plates.
New rear window display with the red triangles and say this trailer is on tow.

thanks i liked the look of the lnb frame but they were saying my motorhome would need rewiring as the Sargent system is not compatible it would be another £245 on top ,,so I'm getting a towaframe system ,hey said the electric side of the motorhome would be ok ,,,

Why would you need rewire. I have autotrail with Sargent electrics - LNB fitted mine, i have a light on the dash board that comes on with Breaks applied on the toad

Another one who would query the rewire….

i seem to have deleted the list they sent from billy at lnb he says ,,that the eclectics on autotrail ,,and swift (Sargent) are not compatible with there braking system and would need rewiring and it was around £245 i didn't make this up ,,or imagine it ,,has no one else seen this ?

found it this from lnb ,,

Sargent towbar electrics are not compatible with our system, this comes on some Swift and Autotrail
models with LED rear lights. This would require a new loom fitted

If your motorhome electrics need upgrading we can do that for you.

13 pin socket upgrade to full function = £245 (to upgrade existing 13 pin socket) New dedicated 13 pin socket loom = £395 (to replace 7 pin or Sargent electrics)

Yes, I had a wiring upgrade on our 2016 Hymer.

We travelled down to Bristol, stayed overnight on their car park then they gave us a courtesy car for the day whilst they fitted out the toad and motorhome. The LNB system is a proper piece of engineering.
