Front Springs (1 Viewer)

Has anyone changed front springs on Ducato 3 litre .... I want to raise the nose up on the van & have been advised the change to heavy duty / raiser springs will do , plus a better drive ride if changed ...
From my enq thus far , Conrad Anderson are the nearest to me at the momment .
Any reply would be grateful . Thanks ....

Yes I've done quite a few now. Goldschmidt are the ones we use and there are two options: heavy duty and super heavy duty. We would need details of your motorhome to establish which would be the best option for you. Bear in mind if it's more than two years old we recommend replacing the struts as well.

I had an E&P levelling fitted at SAP Doncaster and Mick advised me to change the front springs for heavy duty ones.

When we compared my factory fitted ones with another van with heavy duty ones, there was at least 3-4inches more clearance between the tyre and wheel arch. Mick said if I changed to the heavy duty springs and they made no improvement he would refit the originals and refund the cost of the HD springs

I got them changed and they made a huge difference.

According to Mick, he has never had to refit original springs once the owner has changed to heavy duty springs

what sort of cost are we talking about to replace front springs and or struts.

should add that we are getting rear air suspension fitted to our suntor 590RL as we will be carrying a scooter on an easy lifter tow bar rack. Any comments on air suspension,for or against.

We had air suspension assisters fitted to our last motorhome, a Swift Esprit on a FIAT chassis.

Our drive has a steep slope and the road has a steep camber making a valley where they meet. When new we had less than an inch of clearance as the rear of the motorhome reached the road surface.

We fitted air assist, priced at £230 for the kit on EBay. Took just over an hour to fit.

With the pressure set at 35psi it lifted the rear far enough to clear easily and reduced body roll on corners and round-a-bouts.

No downside that we found.
