On 3rd van so not a total newbie....
I have an a class which is quite blind on the front corners, and due to the length can be quite difficult to maneuver on tight aires etc, ideally I would like a Bluetooth camera probably stuck to the top of the screen internally pointing down to cover the front corners. Most seem to be WiFi, but I would prefer Bluetooth if possible as I want to ideally view on either phone or tablet, using WiFi would stop me using Internet for sat nav (hotspotted from phone) , without having to keep changing networks.

Anyone done anything similar?

The length on an A class is no different to a coachbuilt just a bit wider?
It's just that the front corners are not easy to judge unlike a coachbuilt/pvc, ours is 8.5m which can make it a little awkward in tight spaces.

Would a mirror not be a cheaper alternative? Similar to a bus or wagon?

S
Don't really want to be bolting mirrors into the bodywork, reversing cameras seem to be pretty cheap on line.

I've seen THESE Omni-View 360° cameras mentioned on here before, maybe that's the answer?
I don't have one so can't comment on them though.

Would be perfect, but just looking for a cheap option, I think these are thousands...

You are right a couple at least but good system (y) for a DIY version for the front corners I think the challenge would be getting the cameras far enough forward to get a clear view.

What about front facing parking sensors.?
That could be an option, fitted those before.

I fitted a cheap £10 reversing camera to the centre my front grill for your use you could fit one at each end of the grill.
I made up a simple relay switching circuit to select the cameras.

Don’t know if these will do the job you want … Amazon product ASIN B0846LM5S9
there is a review of some here .. https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/buying-guides/best-360-cameras

none seem to be cheap, Bluetooth seems to be a limiting factor.

it might seem crude and perhaps a bit daft, but I seem to recall people sticking a rod with a bobble on top to help with sighting trailers when reversing, certainly a cheaper option if adapted.

No problem with 'Morelo' or 'Concorde ' as they have extra adjustable mirrors looking down from the 'Rabbits Ears ' projecting arms .

Yes but we still had the 360 fitted ;) I can only see our corners in the mirrors if I lift out of the seat as there is not quite enough adjustment on the glass.

Thing is the Morelo mirror arms project past the front bumper so you need to watch the mirrors themselves as well. Ive set up 4 cameras on my Clou on the areas That I wanted them snd ran wires. I think Wh05apk s hould forget the bluetooth, wireless etc and open up your options

Thanks, bluetooth would have been ideal, but I think a couple of cheap(ish) wired cameras would be better, will see if my head unit will run the camera.

Could you not have a small tablet on a bracket on the A pillar

Already have a 7" monitor for the reversing cameras, don't really want any more, looks like I can.connect through the head unit, so will try that for a £10-15 outlay.

0n a very slight tangent, does anyone know of either a monitor I can get google maps on or a tablet that will accept camera inputs?

I have had two A Class motorhomes and both of them have been narrower than the last coach-built one I owned.
I meant the part at the front. A class is the same width all the way along whereas coachbuilt are narrower at front!
