I’ve been quoted £1402.34 + vat for a new one by Lowdhams.
Anybody know where I can source one without having to sell an arm and a leg? Doesn’t have to be new, just all there.

many many years! since I was a kid
sometimes damaged ones get sold on eBay which could be repaired

I would be inclined to suggest that you get a quote from a specialist fibreglass repairer at a boat yard

I have asked my local repairer, but he said that he would need the broken off bits to do a repair and the bits were scattered on the motorway.

I have seen boats repaired that were smashed with bits missing. More complicated and more expensive than stitching parts back together, but a lot cheaper than the quote you got plus vat and several hours fitting

I really think that I would just tell the insurance company to fix it, if covered of course, as that's what we pay it for
