Fridge won't work on gas (1 Viewer)

I have a Dometic RM6505 fridge, which works on 12v and 230v, but not gas.I can hear it make a banging noise when you switch it on to gas, but nothing happens.

Hi Ian and welcome.

sounds like a partially blocked gas jet.
the 'banging' (more usually a loud POP) is the bit of gas that is getting through igniting then going out due to a weak mixture.

burner tubes are notorious for dropping little bits of debris etc onto the burner and blocking the jet.

Please don't mess with gas. Call out an engineer to do a fridge service for you. Take a look at the approved workshop web site and pick someone close to you.

It appears gas valve is not working, checked at PCB and is has got 12v going to it, how can i check this. many thanks for help.
