Fridge Sorted.

My fridge stopped working on mains power while I was up in Scotland earlier this year so I got my excellent motorhome servicing chap to sort it last Saturday.
It was the element. Bit of a job to get at it though!

Looks an expensive job,can you advise the cost and which fridge it was please?

It cost £185 but I think that’s pretty good seeing as he travelled about 30 miles to where I was pitched and the job took at least 2 hours to do. Plus the cost of the element. All done correctly and re-sealed the top to stop any fumes entering the van. Because of where the element is and the location of the exterior vents it had to be completely removed to change it. It has definitely improved the performance of the fridge though and gets a lot colder than it was before it went wrong. It’s a 14 year old van and the fridge gets used every weekend. I was happy with the cost.
