I was a good girl and cleaned out the fridge, even taking out the metal shelves, unfortunately hubbie decided in his wisdom to put them back for me and has put a 1/2 in hole in the fridge. I am presuming it is now defunct. Anyone know where we get a new one and who can fit them.

Where is the hole. If its only in the plastic, it can be repaired.

If its the condenser that's got the hole am afraid its a goner. If its just part of the plastic casing it can easily be repaired.

It should only be a problem if you have damaged any of the pipework, burner or wiring at the back of the fridge.

If you remove the external vents, you should be able to see if anything is damaged. Have you tried running the fridge? If it gets cold, then a patch over the hole in the plastic should be OK.

You might be being over cautious!:thumb:

If its just a hole in the inside case get a bit of white plastic and fix it over the hole with white silicone
