Is there power to it, lights on etc.

Martin
yes power on lights everything looks normal but frozen stuff just starts to melt? if left freezes again? will get it checked next week as is under warranty but was just wondering what may be? my thought is the thermostat allows compressor to cool to proper level cuts out and waits to long to cut back in but that's a guess?

You say compressor but I guess, (oops no need to guess you said Elec and Gas in you first post) its a three way absorption fridge so no compressor, sorry doesn't help but might prevent somebody else going down the wrong road.

Fridges in motorhomes really are the most complicated things. In order to give you accurate answers we need to know much, much more. You say you are level, that's a good start. Are there any conditions that cause the defrost? How are you ascertaining that you are level? What is the ambient temperature where you are? Do you have vent covers fitted?

Possibly the first thing to suspect, provided the answers to the above are favourable, is that the thermistor has packed up. They cost about £10, and are easily tested. unplug it, then attach it to a multi meter, then place it against a heat source, ie your hand, the resistance should change dramatically. If it doesn't order a new one.
