Ok, I thought I had the has problem sorted, but no. The unit is an RM4361. Here's the question. I think I had the fridge on gas at Felixstowe sea front road, but the camber put quite a hefty tilt on the van.....have I "killed" the gas aspect of the Fridge, or can it be recovered?

You wont have killed it due to camber. The gas will settle back. Probably a coincidence.
Is it still or will it light but not cool?
Does it spark but not light?
Will it cool on mains?

Hi Jezport, We have a good flame, and works perfectly on 12v and 240v. Just won't cool with flame. Jet been cleaned for good measure.

Its either a dirty jet or flue.
How was the jet cleaned?
It needs taking out to clean properly as rust and carbon can drop into the assembly. It may need a new jet.
When you listen to it is should have a slight roar, if its quiet its still partially blocked.

FYI, the same coolant gas is heated weather you are using gas or electric. Either the flame or a heating element causes the gas to move round the system, so dont worry about the camber thing.
If you are parked on a steep slope the flame still burns straight up so the flame may not heatt the pipe it needs to heat properly, restoring to level means the flame will hit the target again and cooling will resume after a short time.

My logical two penny worth....

Regarless of the power source... the cooling stuff (mecanism) will be the same...

So it has to be something else... if ok on 12v or EHU....

Edit: beaten by @jezport ;)

Well, we cleaned out black particles from jet area and also the pipe that feeds the jet.....we can hear the "roar". The flue has been cleaned....I've been assured. I'm baffled.

Did you remove the jet assembly and tap it upside down?
Have you positioned it back properly?

@Spook. Well...pop it on about 2 or 3...
And see if that makes a difference...

Beena lot of threads on ere about max being a no no... i.e having a detrimental effect on cooling....

For record... I full time... UK... and don't have it higher than 3... and it's always as cold as a cold thing on ya nuts...

It often works very inefficiently if turned right up. About half way seems to produce the best cooling, illogical but it happens.

Ran the setting on 3, and there is a definite coldness in the ice box. Harder to say for the Fridge, but it is empty. I believe they work better when there is some food and milk to keep cool, so fingers crossed again. Off to Northshore at Skeggy for weekend, so that will be the make or break test. Thanks all.
