The piezo is not sparking on our old fridge so can not use it on gas. We may need to fit a new piezo but the problem is the model number has rubbed off the fridge! It's an Electrolux Siegen gmbh type c40/110 fitted in a Hobby 750 1999 model made in Germany. Has anyone any idea how I can find the part number? Also if anyone has any other ideas why it is not sparking I would be grateful. There doesn't seem to be any power getting through to the switch.

Some of the older fridges used to have a small 9v battery fitted for the igniter,
As for a number you may want to remove the vent panels and look on the back of the fridge.

It'll probably be the igniter, I replaced mine this year, simple job if you get get access to the rear of the fridge.

Ok because I'm not at all technical!!! Is the last image the igniter? and is there anyway to test if this is what is faulty? (Hubby is technical but not here and it is he who will be repairing just in case you are worried)

Thanks for your help everyone. Hubby has traced the problem back to a fuse on the battery so problem solved and at least we have an idea of the model should anything else goes wrong

7 years campers before that
you need to find out what isnt working does it spark at the burner does it light and then go out is there a spark from the electrode (white bit when held close to earth will it light with a match, failure to light can be no fuel or no spark(also no oxygen but we can rule that one out )
