Fridge has ignition knob stuck (1 Viewer)

The gas ignition knob recently stuck fast on my Electrolux 3 way (knob and 3 way in one sentence hehe). I managed to get it turning with wd40 and pliers but it can no longer be pressed inwards. Has anyone experienced this before? Was thinking of taking it to get repaired but maybe it's cheaper to replace it? Any ideas welcomed!

That rings a bell. Ours stuck in once, I pulled it off and reduced the outside diameter a bit with sandpaper. Take care, your fridge may not be the same.

Or did I open up the hole with a penknife. Long time ago, can't remember.
