Do you have a multimeter to check the 12V wiring voltages. Or maybe the 'tester pen' will do this, depending on what you mean by tester pen. You need to check the two 12V supplies that go to the control board. One should be on all the time, the other should be on when the engine is running.

Update. We decided to remove the fridge, absolute pig of a Job, never again hopefully.
