We have been having issues for a long time with our fridge, a Dometic RM7505. It has been diagnosed as a fault with the printed circuit board, but we have been told that these are no longer made. Is it possible and advisable to repair the board, or would you just bite the bullet and replace the fridge. It is a model that was discontinued in 2009 so any further faults would mean difficulty with parts.

if you are very lucky it may just be a dry joint on the PCB which is a cheap and easy fix

If you can physically get a part number of the PCB you want to replace, type it into Google and you may be amazed at the availability.
I did this a couple of years ago and got the board I wanted for a 8xxx series.

Access to ours was via the lower fridge vent. There is a second, smaller, control PCB behind the control panel.

Just replaced the circuit board in our Dometic RM7655 (See thread)

Dometic engineer had a spare one with him.

Lot cheaper than a new fridge which was £2000 plus fitting!

Plenty of old spare parts around.

What’s actually the fault.
does it work at all on any fuel.
I found that the wires from the grey sparker control box for the gas flame was dodgy.
Fixed it by using computer plugs and wires.

Thanks to all for your replies.
The fridge does not work at all on electric.
On gas it works sometimes. The problem being that it ignites but keeps sparking as it doesn't seem to recognise that there is a flame there. After a short while the gas cuts off.
It has been checked by a dealer workshop and a well thought of mobile engineer.
Both came up with the same conclusion of PCB, and both tried and failed to find the part.
All the other obvious things that could cause the problem were checked.

I shall try to get the part number
