Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me with my water tank issue on an Ixeo please?

The water had been in the tank for a few weeks so yesterday I emptied the tank by turning the knob on top of the tank anti-clockwise. No problem with that. I then turned it clockwise and started filling up again but the water just poured out at the bottom through the drain. I tried turning the know both ways but no luck. I felt inside the tank and there is a small cylinder that sits on the long square rod attached to the knob. This cylinder just moves freely up and down the rod but I wonder if it should be fixed at the bottom? If I push this cylinder to the bottom of the rod the water coming out of the drain reduces so I assume this cylinder has something to do with it.

Any ideas gratefully recieved.

Cheers

Is the water coming from your inbuilt tank or the boiler? our tank drain. boiler , has a button on the side you have to press as well as returning switch to original position. have never had a problem with the main tank.

Getting there!
Guessing it’s the mechanism for carrying say 25 L for travelling? Is there another larger access cover you can take off and look inside? Stick some pictures up, someone will have seen it before.

Different Motorhome, but on my Malibu water tank if I turn the knob to drain it to many turns the cylinder at the bottom will not go in fully so I have to push it in the same time as I turn the knob or the knob just keeps spinning

You don't mention the year of your Ixeo... we have a 2010 Solano t725.
The Burstner manual that came with the van is dated 2009 and includes Ixeo's

Thanks for all your replies, it would seem a clip has come detached (pic attached), hopefully I can speak to the dealer tomorrow as I have only had the moho for 2 weeks.

Cheers
