Not long to motorhoming and asking the knowledgable people on here wether they drink water from the fresh water tank or just use that for washing ,showers etc and have refillable containers for tea/ coffee etc.

We've always drank water from the tank and were both still here.
It all depends how strong your stomach is.

Ta andy , we have water carrier so will fill it in the morning

We drink water from separate container of fresh water. Mainly because we put purifying tablets in the fresh water tank that make it taste a bit chemically.

We don’t drink water from the tank direct but use it the kettle etc. We keep bottled water in the fridge mainly for taking our tablets, it’s an age thing.

Nothing wrong with drinking from it. The pipes at home are now over 60 years old fed from a supply pipe even older and no one thinks twice about those.
I do use Puriclean once a year as a service/deep clean measure

We use the fresh water tank for drinking water too. I flush the system using Puriclean before the first trip of the year & drain it down when the van is not in use. We have done this with every motorhome we have had in the last 20 years, the only problem we have had was way back in 2006 with a brand new Autotrail Cheyenne where the water tasted 'plastic' & the dealer fitted a water filter for us. We didn't keep the Cheyenne for very long but that's another story......

We use the tank water for tea etc. Water to take tablets from separate bottle filled from tap.
We only use bought bottled water if its fizzy.

I flush the tank with Purscleen every now and then. We use the water for washing etc and tea making. I occasionally drink a glass but generally we keep a large bottled water topped up from site taps . However I certainly wouldn’t worry about drinking direct from tap.

Caravanning for over 25 years & Motorhoming fo 14. Always drink from the tank & still alive.
Recent years have fitted a filter in line with the kitchen tap to get rid of the chlorine taste you sometimes get.
