i use 'Markets of France' by Janice Gallagher ISBN 1-903861-00-4 published by Loisirs Publications, Loisirs House, 27 Eagle Rd, Bishop's Green, Newbury, RG20 4HP. Tel 01635 269139.

It lists over 10,000 markets in France.

Despite the number of markets it hasn't got my favourite one. Brive le Gaillard on a Saturday.

I tried to get some recommendations for good markets on a couple of forums but didn't get much interest.
