Leaving for a trip to France Sunday, so thought I'd check the fridge was working ok.. put it on 240v to cool down prior to packing..

Pulled open the freezer door and one of the hinges snapped clean off .. . damn.. was ok when we last used it..

Done that (should have said Snap I suppose) and found the same solution - the other thing that keeps failing on our Dometic is the plastic door catch cover - they're pathetic.

23 hours since I ordered.. now fitted.. :)

Great service from https://www.leisureshopdirect.com

Apparently, I have to have a different hinge. I sent them all the data from the plate inside the fridge - why oh why do Dometic stick the label at the bottom of the back wall - and Leisureshopdirect have sent info on a hinge at £11.23. At least it is reduced from £12.99. Wow! That will save me £3.52 for the two. That's about 3 litre of diesel at today's price here
