Free program to back up XP?

    Hi after re-installing XP is their a free program to back it up to a portable drive? The operative word here is FREE. ::bigsmile:

    You could look around for an old copy of Ghost, that way you can make a copy of your drive inc the boot files, to DVD. I did mine ages ago but seem to have lost the disk :Blush:

    Yes, Dave is right that you need disk imaging software. A back up program will not give you a working copy of a Windows install.

    Have a look at Clonezilla (free).

    if you have a seagate or maxtor hard drive then goto the seagate website there is a free tool called seatools I had a brief look but their web is slow so look later.
