I just bought a fray bentos pie after seeing all the posts about it on here in the past few months:ROFLMAO:

Just want to report that they are not too bad really as you all say, as long as they are cooked right, lovely puff pastry and plent of meat in them what are you all on about:rollonfloor::rollonfloor:

I am glad many people don't like Fray Bentos pies...:thumb: ...it keeps the price down for those lucky ones amongst us who have seen the light... :ROFLMAO:

JJ

A stock check has revealed I am down to my last two tins...

Ask salopian for advice then.

no need , I bake my own pies, steak and kidney with a puff pastry to die for ..also make pork pies and sausages using belly of pork ..

factory processed food is only fit for dogs ... I've seen what they use.. and how they make it look edible..

I discovered fray bentos as an impoverished student who couldn't cook. Steak and kidney pie and a tin of butter beans - heaven!

Found them again when we started motorhoming and wanted an easy meal after a long journey, and they are just as good!
