Frankia I7300 BD
Exp
since 1997 (many years tugger before then)
Recently said goodbye to our previous motorhome of 5 years, a Hobby 725, and have now got a Frankia I7300BD. Managed to get it home just before the December lockdown. Lots of internal cleaning going on, then I'll try to get to grips with the completely alien technology of the DT220 (looks complicated), Alde heating (looks complicated), Polar heating (complicated again), Saphyr air con (more complications..still havn't located this one)...and that's even though I've got all the instruction books for the above!!

Will have to wait till I can get it off the drive...and what with the CV situation I think that's going to be a while yet.

When we bought our present Hymer we worried about the Alde heating. Picked it up in November so the the first couple of times I used it was in winter and I quickly realised just how much better it is. Would never buy another motorhome unless it is fitted now.

I've read similar compliments re: Alde system...I've not even switched ours on yet! Been cleaning the inside of the van, then just looking at it on the drive! It's been too cold, too wet, too dark...and we're not going anywhere soon. We'll wait for the weather to improve before I check the heating etc.

Alde heating is brilliant in our Frankia I8400GD. Much more comfortable then Truma blown air.

Hi Norman, yours looks a beaut, but it was just a little too long for us, but we managed to hunt down a slightly shorter one. Lots of stuff on it that I've never come across before, that looks a bit complicated...although all the instruction manuals came with it. As soon as the weather warms up I'll try to get my head around it all and get things working. It took me a while to find the drain valve for the Alde boiler, but managed to drain down before all the cold hit us. Wasn't able to isolate the water pump from the DT220 panel, so had to pull a wire of it (the pump)...stuff to sort out later.
