We are going over the water the last 2 weeks of July ( 2 adults 1 14 yr ) 1st stop will be possibly Luxemberg although not written in stone yet ! would like to go in-land but not to far, possibly not flat, nice views and not many people ? nice and peaceful, done the coast of Brittany and Normandy any idea,s , what about French passion sites ? was going to go up the Moselle, but now think it is a bad idea as it will be very busy and all the stellplatz may be full, have looked on some sites and they do not look that good, the ones that do are booked up Mmmm just stay at home ? :helpsos:

Since 2011 therefore I'm not a newbie anymore
Moselle is good, but Switzerland better, bear in mind you are in school holiday period so campsites will be at their most expensive. Google TCS camping for probably the best range of cheap campsites in Switzerland.

Failing that try the French Alps or even the Jura or Alsacearoud Ergashiem or Mullouse.

It depe1nds what you are looking for. If you have 'done' France many times, then I find that going to different ACSI sites reveals many different aspects of France, ie we are here at Camping Du Lac at Tuffe and it would be a lovely place to spend a few days. There is a huge market on tomorrow at Ferte Bernard (or similar) and they are currently doing practice runs at Le Mans. Each area reveals a different jewel. The tourist office is ideal. ::bigsmile::winky:

If your 14 year old likes Theme Parks and you're heading down eastern France, it's worth a quick flit across the German border to Europa Park.

The Route Napoleon isn't overly busy in summer. We were also quite impressed by Dijon, especially on market day. There's some interesting lakes east of Troyes, with free 24 hour MH parking at Mesnil-Saint-Pere, but no services.
