A couple of months ago , on here there was a thread that said there was no rhubarb in France because of some fly that lives on it doing something to the vines , well I can tell you definitely that is wrong, rhubarb everywhere even in vineyards we stayed at on France passion.:thumb:

Our rhubarb plant has died so we must replace it when we have time. In the meantime, though, Jill's Dad gives everything from his plant in return for portions of crumble :thumb:

Yes , I have seen it and on the market stalls , it's everywhere, but someone on here said they had been told they couldn't grow it near vines, someone who I think lives in France, I thought I had seen it growing there at the time of the original thread but couldn't be sure.

If you run out of rhubarb for your crumble, try Japanese knotweed...

On and off for many years.
We have loads of rhubarb. Pies, crumble? Must get busy this week. It's also great in jam as it takes the taste of any other fruit so makes expensive fruit go further. Strawberry and Rhubarb and Raspberry and Rhubarb are favourites.

Was a newbie, now a Middie.
We used to grow it quite a lot, but then our custard plant died, and to be honest, I couldn't eat rhubarb without it.

Try some ginger with rhubarb for your jam, breathes new life into something that is already good
