Well we got back , not been gassed or mugged, £30 front wheel bearing still ok after 2500 miles, met ken and steph at parc verger but no sign of any other funster . Been on a different aire or France passion every night. Had to pay six euros at gravelines, good value, honflur , twelve euros not so good , parc verger twelve, good value, but all the rest free , gas lasted all fortnight no problem with battery's going flat water and toilets and grey all lasted three days at a time , plenty wifi places , didn't take a sat dish but could tune in to loads of French channels with the ordinary pear shaped airial some sports channels some English films but didn't bother with it , just tuned it in to see if it did work, all in all a brilliant fortnight for less than one night on a uk site, but against this you have to put your diesel and tolls although the tunnel did come free courtesy of tesco tokens but why stay here when you can have the weather and sights and bars and everything else for the same as stopping here:thumb::thumb::thumb:

Hope you filled your fuel tank up before you went back, the saving would offset a few of the tolls.
Sounds like you had a good time. We are off for 3 weeks next Thursday. Visiting the Normandy beaches then Brittany for a tour round the coast.
Or, we will go down to Jura
Not sure till we get to Calais.....

Never said where we went:Doh: gravelines first night then down the coast along Normandy beaches , down through Brittany followed the coast again down to bordoux , stayed around there couple of days, across to Limoges and parc verger, day in oradour sur glane, looked at a couple of houses for sale down that area, up through Loire , stayed one night in avillage just to the west of javron , can't remember off hand what it's called:Doh: but there is a brilliant aire there in a real old chateaux and nice bars and stuff there, from there moved up into Belgium then back to gravelines for the last night.

We'll be at Normandy over the D Day weekend if you're about (staying at Moyaux).

just arrived at L'Houmeau, just outside La Rochelle. Sun has come out although lots more rain forecast over the next few days. Ideal base to cycle to Il de Rey and La Rochelle. I will try and order the sun for you ::bigsmile:

One thing I havnt touched on is the eurocashcard, it worked almost everywhere apart from tolls on the motorway and automatic fuel pumps but it worked where they had a booth for paying:Doh: and in the supermarkets attached to the filling station.
