Tbf we've now caught the weather perfectly, we planned to be here 3 weeks ago and the forecast looked grim so we changed course and came back to it, but yes its magnificent.
I liked this photo very much and coudnt resist playing with it. This is the result of ten minutes very rough work on a tablet - to remove the wires and post. It is technically rubbish but was fun. :)

This one was an easier tweak. They are great photos and my fiddling isn't meant as a criticism and my heavy-handed Photoshopping won't suit everyone. . I just wish I had taken them. :)

Wow!!

They're only phone photos, I'm having a few issues with my laptop so haven't seen them big yet, can't wait.

Well that answered the question I had of what kit you guys were using for the photos!
Thanks. They're just great - and really not jealous (he lied)!;).

We are now at Briviesca. A small town with a good Aire next to the old Bull Ring and Sports centre. We are the only ones here so decided to take full advantage of the facilities on offer and wash the motorhome. I will be putting out table, chairs, gazebo, BBQ and disposing of all my rubbish whilst here. Also making full use of wife as we're a team and I do the pictures and posts.

We stopped there a couple of years ago and there was a bit of a gathering of youths in cars later, it was Friday night though and they caused no real nuisance.

The town is small and a little jaded but plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, banks etc., etc., and far too many churches for s town of this size. The Bull Ring is open so walked in and had a look round. I suspect many s Bull was killed here and the seats full to capacity in its day. There is a viewing point on top of a killer hill next to the aire. Its calling me and I know I'm going to hate every step to the top but hey, who dares wins rodders, who dare wins. The Bull Ring.

The climb nearly killed me, found a kids route the little buggers take the shortest route and I'm on my hand knees after going too far and to near the top to give up. I made it and the views were stunning.I also noted there appears to be a very new municipal swimming pool complex next to the Aire too.

Good practice for your Greek trip when you walk up Mount Olympus.

This morning was overcast and chilly. I do an exercise routine each morning and today I felt the chill when stretching those old sinews and muscles. We aim not to do more than 2 hours driving a day once we get into situ and we are now very close to the area I want to mooch around for a few weeks. A little further to go but we will be there in a few days. Its much warmer now and the further East we head the warmer it gets. South would be a mare, there having a hard time of it down there. We are now at another free Aire at Valencia de Don Juan, have done a small supermarket shop and tripped over a bar on the way back. A bit of lunch then a siesta and visit the town later this evening. Wine definitely cheaper than beer.

So! The Thermal pools closed and the bar area almost empty with the bar open until 9 pm tonight. Looks like some great river walks and there is access to free lecce near the disposal point. Mena can use her Hair drier tomorrow before we depart. Time to chill for the rest of the day. Its almost 1 € a beer and the good stuff too.

So, filled up as down to 1/4 tank and expecting to pay around 1.34. This seems to be a common price so far and was happy to pull into a Repsol garage just off the motorway to find Desiel at 1.29. Far cheaper than France which is cheaper than the UK unless you choose to fill up on toll roads or motorways. I do wish I could hold my drink ! These days I have to limit myself as my capacity is no where near where it was. I used to be able to hold my drink and behave like captain sensible. Now, five beers and I start dribbling and usually shit myself on the ninth. Age is a pain in the ass.

New this year 2020
Is there anyone going to Germany this year. We spend most of our 2 weeks in Germany and will be doing so again, but it looks like it might a lonely place this year. It's always nice to bump into the odd Brit now and again.
We are planning to, setting off 1st August France then into Germany hoping to do the Alpenstrasse
