Following on from an earlier post which said that British vans were thin on the ground in France we have been here now for 5 days and they are everywhere! We are on a site at the moment which seems to be like little Britain and have been passing U.K. Motorhomes all the time on the roads. The last aire had a few and the site before in Falaise must have been over 50% Brits and it was busy. Is everyone getting a last tour in before Br***t?

No kids about and the weather is fab. Here in France until early October and enjoyed every minute so far. Plenty French and Dutch folk about too ☺️

Blame Brexit. It gets the blame for everything else.

Let us know where these sites are so we can avoid them..;)

We were out on the west coast of France last weekend, don't remember seeing any Brits, plenty of Germans, Dutch, Belgians...

We have been down to Italy and along the med and we are now on a Aire in largesse in the corbieres region and have been on the road over a week now and can count the Brits on one hand, but we have seen more self builds , than we have ever seen, maybe we are looking for them now , all sizes and shapes of lorries . brilliant.

Wish you'd all bugger off ... cluttering up our roads and taking advantage of our excellent motorhome facilities. You don't pay a penny piece into our systems and come and think you have the right under "rule bl***y Britania" . Seriously, enjoy whilst you can because come Brexshit you'll not be getting back in again without a fight.

There is always plenty up there but farther down they all disappear.

Come to Sardinia.
Only seen a couple of British number plates in the last 14 days!

After 6 weeks in Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg and now central France we have seen less than a dozen Brits(apart from at the Düsseldorf show) But we don’t often stay on sites!

Bloody foreigners, clogging up our aires, taking all our sunshine and paying all those speeding fines.........

Not really, amongst all the drivel re Brexit the reality is there are more French working within the M25 that there are Brits in all of France. Neither GB ltd nor Fr can afford to mess things up too much. Sadly, many here, the older non French speaking folks, are being panicked into making rash decisions on false or no information. Whilst I feel terribly sorry for them, we will be benefit as we have just sold our house and are in the process of finding our "forever home" and there is a lot to choose from at greatly reduced prices. ....... every cloud and all that eh?

Tempted to look myself theres some very nice properties at reasonable prices in France

that's why London has always been known as "Frances 4th largest city" with around 400k French citizens

Now been two weeks touring Northern Spain and only seen one Brit van in that time.

We're parked up on an Aire and there's a Brit plated Motorhome about 15 yards away.
The woman has been recounting her life story on the phone for about two hours and if you'd like me to tell you her family history and ailments then please PM me.
Thankfully we are only here one night and they've gone inside now - so it's relatively quiet now.
If we see any more Brit Van's and we're moving on pdq.

?

We are also on an aire and have two Brit vans parked very close to us.
Unlike keithchesterfield2 though, we have been having a lovely time.
Much wine, cider and even Champagne has been consumed along with good conversation and quite a few laughs plus some excellent cycling.
Long live Funster mini meets. (y) :france: :france: :france:

There’s certainly a huge choice of property here, from run down farmhouses to chateaux at up to ten times cheaper than UK prices.
People buy a house in France to live in, its never an investment where you can make huge amounts of money with a quick refurbishment.
There are young couples in the UK that will never afford to buy a house, here, you can buy 1/4 acre of land and have your own house built for less than 100,000 Euros.
