Since 2017. Before had caravan, folding camper and various tents.
We are on the Eurotunnel Sunday morning. There for two and a half weeks.
Haven't planned anything. Have ACSI and France Passion.
My only thought is to head south for the weather. Any other suggestions welcome.

Have a quiet drive to Fecamp or Honfleur. Nothing will be open in France on a Sunday

Take something warm for when the sun goes down. We’re on our way back after a month of nice warm days but decidedly chilly evenings and nights, even down in the far South and Costa Brava. It was just above freezing near Auxerre the other night.

Diesel is only 1.62 per litre at Total sites, also LPG is around 66 cents a litre, so go empty.
I use a site called fuel flash.eu when checking remember to check the date of the price check as they do fluctuate.

The fuel station as you exit the shuttle terminal was E1.65

I think we'd just look at the long range forecasts and follow the weather. We did the same in the summer to avoid the 40 degree heat! It's a big country but were used to doing big distances.

This is the CCP Aire at Vatan 20 miles north of Châteauroux. Quite a few French I am a minority of one of course. 10 euros
Services to every pitch all bordered by hedges. 200 yards from the village centre.
CMC sort yourselves out please! Weather fine 20 degrees on the sun.
Now the downside, just booked the tunnel for Tuesday !!

Check out Ventusky for weather over next couple of weeks. Generally a combination of west and south seems to work. If things had gone our way we’d be arriving in France tomorrow. They didn’t so we’re in the Highlands.
Assume you’ll not get to a shop until Monday.
You shouldn’t need to book though calling ahead to popular campsites may be worthwhile. There are fabulous aires too.
Days are short - it can be chilly till about 11am and late afternoon so a fleece or cardie is useful.
Most of all enjoy!! And post photos for us poor folk wishing we were there too.

Normally I'd agree to save some money by filling up once through the tunnel, but there are currently fuel shortages in France and prices are rising.

Total refineries have been on strike for 10 days, and I haven't seen a Total filling station with fuel in over a week. Anywhere else that has fuel has big queues. Drove past a small independent site in Provance earlier today and it was stating €2.07 a litre for diesel, and the retailer that had also run out even at that price.

I'd fill up in the UK before taking the tunnel to be on the safe side.

We love St Maxime at this time of year, as there will be lots of restaurants and bars open. It would be nice for a couple of days.
