Strange as it sounds yodeli, my partner has a link through her sisters marriage to local gypsies and believe it or not, many gypsies are hypochondriac's and would not even consider missing the vaccination roll out.Pah...now this sounds completely different from what we are told here. Vaccination is going down, executive wants to force people by making it compulsory even for the children We are told that the 4th wave will be in the country by the end of July. We are also told to stay in France, Spain and Portugal are to be avoided.
Do you think they're going to vaccine the gypsies?
Strange…there’s already no reasons needed or quarantine for vaccinated visitors to France. Seems the only gain will be no testing pre crossing, which I won’t complain about! (Apart from the fact I’ve already bought them )From today’s Telegraph…………
France set to ease restrictions for UK holidaymakers
France could soon ease rules for British travellers entering the country, the French transport minister has said.
France has progressively lifted restrictions after months of lockdowns as vaccination speeds up, despite a rise in cases fuelled by the more aggressive delta variant in recent days.
“With the vaccination campaign advancing well in both France and UK there could be a coordinated decision soon to lift the UK from the orange list,” Jean-Baptiste Djebbari told the BBC during a visit to Toulouse, in south-west France, on Thursday.
“We are looking at the evolution of the health situation and want to make a decision as quickly as we can,” he added, ahead of a planned meeting with his British counterpart Grant Shapps.
Currently, Britain is on France’s orange list, and France is on Britain’s amber list. For all travellers, this means a negative PCR test less than 72 hours old or a negative antigen test of less than 48 hours old is required to travel.
Additionally, unvaccinated travellers need an “urgent” reason to visit France and must self-isolate for seven days.
An upgrade to the green list would allow fully vaccinated Britons to enter France with only a jab certificate, with no reasons, tests or quarantine needed.

I'd like to report that I've been released from quarantine this morning and I'm feeling much better and allowed back in the house. However I am already missing the big TVTrue but the spain&Portugal reason is to prevent ingress of Indian variant which is what any one from the UK would likely be carrying, jabbed or not. You only have to see Itsmcb sitation, double vaccinated & confined to a shed for quarantine.
Yes no travel restrictions.
I don't share your optimism I still think there will be spanner in the works. You watch France go green on both sides , I have just bought our three departure tests for next week …..
Cannot wait to get to France in the new camper ….

We were planning on doing the same run for it, staying a few miles out of Jaca and am reluctant to leave the nice weatherWe did a big shop and filled up both tanks before leaving Spain so hoping to get home on that as Diesel is 30p/ litre more here in France.

We're now at capbreton, weather is alternately sunny/ cloudy with brief showers. Which is what we got coming here along northern Spanish coast. It looks like it must have been mostly nice by the amount of people coming off the beach as we arrived about 1830 in a showerHow busy is it there please ?
