Just been reliably informed by someone who lives there, that now in the majority of departments masks have got to be worn outside.

France seem to have the same problems with the Delta (Indian) variant that we had a few weeks back.
Aude Department have now ruled that masks should be worn in 10 towns.
Keep away from large towns and cities, as we always do, and you should be OK.

Richard.

Wasn’t the case 4 days ago when we were there.
No it's just been brought in, and not in all departments.
Definitely in Bordeaux area.

We were in Fouras in the Charente Maritime last week and the rule imposed there was that masks had to be worn within the pedestrianised area, but there seemed to be a relaxation in other parts of the town. Having said that, many people still kept them on when walking along the sea front, etc

No masks outside in my part of Correze, although required inside shops etc
Was in Brive and Tulle today and pretty much masks in always and out when in close proximity

I cannot see the point of wearing masks outside unless you re actually in a queue. I recently heard a medical type on the radio say that the effect of these crappy chinese masks on the virus is similar to throwing ball bearings at a scaffold. An FPP3 is a different ballgame but thats not what people are wearing.

Went to a local (UK) Alde and most people there did not seem to be wearing masks.
Went to Waitrose today and the opposite way around. Not sure what to make of that...

I am noticing a lack of hand and trolly cleaning and many not wearing masks.Wont affect us as we will still wear ours and sanitize as often as possible..BUSBY.

Unless you're wearing proper medical grade masks/PPE, other people not wearing any could affect you, being double jabbed would help though.

That’s one of the reasons we almost always shop in Waitrose…………sensible people.

Richard.

More money than sense comes to mind 🤣🤣 BUSBY.

How can they downgrade and then put in new measures, it is all a shambles.

Which is why my passport will be stopping in the drawer until all this is over

"Maybe" some departments are different, here in Mayenne as far as I am aware, the wearing of masks is obligatory in shops and supermarkets but advisory when walking around town. We will still wear our's when in crowded places such as outdoor markets etc
