I often book the tunnel for very early in the morning. The M25 is very quiet when we drive down for a 4:00am train.:Smile:

If you arrive earlier--to avoid traffic jams if you can-- there's a service area nearby for early arrivals. Get the papers, put the kettle on or have a nap before checking in. Or they might put you on an earlier train.....

Always aim to drive the M25 during early hours even if it means leaving home qth the evening prior, and at Folkstone services just on junct 11 the cafe just inside the main door does a half tidy full English brekky for a fiver :Smile: better and cheaper than tunnel service/shopping area
:thumb::youbetcha::

There's no good time on m25 but what we do , for what it's worth is book a train for about 6 at night ,that's when they start getting cheaper,:Smile:then that allows us all day to get there but if all goes well and we get there upto three hours early we usually get on an earlier one which should be dearer, but at no extra:thumb:

Stop24 services charge for overnight stays. Last year it was about £15 i think and its just a few mins from the tunnel.

We almost always travel down through the night and take a 4-5am tunnel across but even then there is no guarantee you dont hit problems on our lovely motorways :Angry:
