Hi all , planning our first trip around France the first two weeks of september, my question for the knowledgable ppl out there is how much of France is still open around this time, restaurants facilities etc. Thinking of a Tour down the coast, we have 2 small dogs and will have e bikes with us. You're suggestions or experiences would be appreciated.
Cheers chris

We toured for whole of September last year. No issues everything open and quietish.
Back end of September sites start shutting down

Everything open, but coast will still be busy and be too hot on occasions

May, June and Sept are my favourite months to be in France. No probs with 'end of season' closures of sites or restos etc. in my experience.

France in September, perfect nearly everything will be open crowds gone and temperature still in the 30's.

Last year we did France in October, hottest October on record in the Dordogne temps were 22-28°.

We regularly spend September in France using mainly ACSI sites. Sometimes find site facilities like restaurants and pools close by mid September. Everything else usually open in towns and villages. Much quieter (except Dordogne) and usually very pleasant temperatures.

Been to Angeles sur mare a couple of times first two weeks in September, and by the end of the second week the night market had closed, and also quite a few of the summer seaside shops were also closed, but that was a few years ago, so maybe the season is extending a bit now.
