France in July

I think it depends where you go and what sort of site you are looking for. We had a couple of holidays at Lac de Pareloup and Domaine de Masserau in Sommieres - you’d need to book both of those. But other more basic sites in less obviously tourist areas may be ok.

It depends where you are heading , if it’s the coast I would say ‘quite possibly’ especially if you want a particular site.

If heading to the mountains then my experience has been that there isn’t a need to book.

Heading south early july will we need to book main sites or is it just before the schools finish?
French schools normally break up first Friday in July. German schools have a regional rotation system (very german) and some schools break up early June. We avoid France from mid July!

We normally avoid during July and August but had to go one year in August and found no problem away from the coast, especially aires as kids like things like pools etc.

We are usually in 🇫🇷 for July to watch the cycling and we always get by without the need to book. Check.......

for the route and if you're not interested in it, I'd recommend that you stay clear.
