Arrive Dieppe Sunday midday France time.
Hoping to get as far south as Poiters (light night + fast driver(y))
I have Limours Janvry on the A10/E50 91640 in my sight as a target for the overnight stop.
Anyone know of a decent aire or site around that area as a back up.
Monday early start to get to Potes.

Can I just clarify you are off to Poitiers from Dieppe and looking for an overnight spot here ?

Correct.
Google maps tell me from Dieppe to Potes will take me though Poiters. Doing my calcs i will stop for the night around the Poiters area.
Hence where to stop.
You may want to reconsider your route, unless there is something pressing in Limours/Janvry

Maybe Look at the le mans route Bob down the A28 instead of the Paris route,
just as quick when you take busy traffic into account round gay paris

My aim is to get to Potes in Northern Spain as quickly as poss.
Google maps tells me going through Poiters is the quickest route. I will need to stop and Poiters is about where i will get on the 1st day.
I have no interest in Limours/Janvry other than the A10/E50 i will be on passes through it. There is a overnight stop/aire/parking here.
I was looking for an alternative stop within this area is why i ask.

My Google Maps shows staying well clear of Gay Paris (are we allowed to say that)
Is above Googlr Maps?
Mine shows coming down the A28 through Le-Mans to Poiters.
The route through Paris on mine says 5.25hrs:unsure:

yes the one above is google maps,

Want to get a bit further down than Le Mans

Thank you to the other guys that have mad suggestions. Noted.

This is an aire in the village of Verteuil which we know very well as we have had a house n the village for 20 years. There are a number of bars and a couple of places to eat and a mini supermarket. Free for 48 hours with fresh water and grey and black disposal. The aire is at the edge of a park. It's about 35k south of Poitiers.

Not understanding the red herring quote?
he means your other post can read as if you wanted to stop at Limours, but I think we understand now, you want your frst stop at Pottiers, so off at Dieppe and 5 hours to pottiers

Your original post (in my view and reading of it) seemed to be asking for a stop around those 2 places, so I clarified it with a map of the 2 places (marked in red) and you said correct hence the red herring.
Personally I wouldn't go anywhere near that route (the 2 named places) unless there was something I needed to do but keep away from Paris (gay or not) and head straight to Poitiers, which is easily doable for you as have made it just short of there from Calais after a night shift.

Best of luck

I will be following the lovely lady on the Nav Sat. Wherever she wants me to go i will follow. I will programme quickest route Dieppe-Potes and be lead. Thus far the route appears to be through Poiters on the A10/E5.
I will try to be clearer in my text in future.
And thanks for the suggestions all.
Only been travelling from north France to all parts south, Spain, Italy, Europe etc for 50 + years so still learning.

Wont need water or dump point. Just a secure convenient lacation on the way down to get some kip. Will be on the road at daybreak.
Got a few options now so should have no problems. Thanks.

Just looked at this map and i am thinking it is nowhere near Poiters...........is it? Are those red dots pointing to a place i mentioned?
Propper confused now.
Hence my confusion.

If you were to delete any mention of those 2 places it makes sense. I.e. you just want a place to stay overnight somewhere near Poitiers.

Make sure you have read up about the crit air for Rouen, and I would try to keep away from Paris whether the sat nag told me to go through it or not. I don't mind the peripherique on the other side but that looked like you were passing Versailles (crit air required here as well)

dont pay too much attention to the lady, shes a cruel mistress who tries taking you through height resticted barrier areas of Paris too, I just managed to slam on last time and halt the friendly french chaps for a bit.

Interesting about the Crit.
According to my route i go through Rouen Via A150-N1338-N33onto the A13 do you think i will need a Crit for that route?
Not an issue if yes i will simply apply online.

Done a good number of miles in France and Spain (amonst others).
Had a small finca just outside Tossa-De-Mar for more than 10 years from1980s, then a Villa in Busot near Alicante for about 12 years. Sold about 3 years ago.
One year i went and came back 13 times and each time i went a different way.

You can do your own checking on what I "think" is correct.

The whole of Rouen is covered by the Crit air zone, BUT, it is my genuine belief that there are corridors through the town if you stay on the main part of your thoroughfare through there. In other words follow the sat nag and dont come off for petrol or a wee.
