A few years ago I was told by Gerry of @lorger that France is a doddle, just go.
So we went...only plan was come of the ferry and turn right (south, where the sun usually is.
Did that.
Enjoyed it.
Gerry was spot on.
6 Weeks is long enough to play it by ear, but has already been said, it's a big country, you won't get it all at one go.

With the Aires book or camper contact france is the one place it's easy to just follow your nose no need to plan or book anything except the ferry

Roundabouts. They don't half love roundabouts, even though they don't really know how to use them.

Roudabouts in France are not used to help taking the right direction, they are built to just stop people speeding, hence so many, especially in small villages.
