A63 NOW TOLL ALONG FRENCH ATLANTIC COAST The A63 along the Atlantic coast between Bordeaux to Bayonne is in the process of being upgraded into a 3 lane toll motorway. Toll charges are already applicable and vary between 7 euros for class 1 cars and 35 euros for class 4 lorries, depending on vehicle type. A car and caravan outfit is class 2 or class 4 if the caravan is twin axle. Motorhomes are usually classified as a class 2 vehicle if it is less than 3 metres tall and less than 3.5t in weight. Vehicles over 3 metres tall and over 3.5tons in weight are class 3. Vehicles with more than 2 axles and over 3 metres tall are class 4.
