Very welcoming! I wonder why the picture is of Kiilitrangan lighthouse, that’s not in Portpatrick. Didn’t I see a post on here a few days about a letter from ScotGov asking councils to take down these sort of notices. Has there been an update?

This car park has had a council sign 'No Sleeping Overnight' for as long as I can remember, widely ignored last year. The picture is the lighthouse but I think its just council stock. They have today announced a £1M spend to manage visitors this summer. All the temporary signs have been removed round here. I'll keep an eye on things.

Stayed at Clatteringshaws 'Stay the night' last year, a very disturbed night with cars coming and going for hours, torches flashing, people in backs of cars, a lot of noise! Supposed to be a dark skies area but do stargazers behave like that?

Try Kirroughtree, only a few miles away, no CDP though.
