Ford V10 oil (1 Viewer)

Hi all
is the ford 6.8 V10 fussy about its oil and if so what should I use

Linda is absolutely right. She normally has the oil and filters needed (air and petrol in addition to oil) for a "decent" service". I can verify the actual process of doing the changes is easy - just make sure you have a drain tray under the sump that can hold 6 litres. All access to the sump and filters is a doddle.

Hi Dazzer....your '06 will need 6 quarts of 5w20 semi synthetic.

Your bus will take the same as Dazzer's, 5w20 semi synthetic. I'd also recommend you change the oil filter at the same time.

For the record, the early V10s run on 5w30.

we keep valvolene to suit 97-2000 yr Ford V10 engines, also have genuine oil filters and quality air/fuel filters + spark plugs, all in stock.
For the gearbox and steering you use mercon NOT mercon V, we keep this also.

It is extremly easy, i done a change for a friend not to long ago Just watch out for the head wounds
