Ford has launched a new dealer 'motorhome charter' aimed at owners of motorhomes whose base vehicles are Ford Transits.

Some 1,000 European Ford dealers have signed up to offer a range of services, including specialised support at customer assistance centres in Britain, Germany, France, Italy and Spain, and the creation of a pan-European network of "Ford Motorhome Charter" dealers.

These dealers, of which there are 84 in the UK, are trained and prepared to service and repair even the largest of Ford-based motorhomes, says the manufacturer.

However, while the dealers are prepared to service and repair Ford-based motorhomes, they will only work on the Ford base vehicle and will not carry out work in the habitation section or the motorhome’s bodywork.

The dealers will also offer further motorhome customer benefits such as holiday season opening times, priority booking, international warranty support and emergency repairs for immobilised motorhomes.

Ford has included a directory of these dealers in its new motorhome customer handbook that will be supplied with all new Transit motorhomes.

Its just a shame that they wont do it for all Ford Base M/H'S-RV'S. My experience of Ford is that when I contact them concerning any work on my E450 they loook at me stupid and tell me to contact the States. :whatthe:

They are ok selling Transits but anything else is just to hard.
