Swap for a Grand piano? :D
He might take you up on that Cat.... his hobby is converting stuff when he has spare time... so we may see a grand piano at a meet later in the year complete with exhaust pipe and pedals converted to accelerator and brake... :)

Nice clean low mileage van, a good buy in my book, notice some half wits have made offers, typical people who dont know good value when they see it.

Van might be old in years but excellent condition and low mileage

Good luck, dont give it away

DON'T MIND THEM MAKING OFFERS Peter they just need to make them a little closer to the asking price (y);):D If not I'll keep her for another year :)

Hi All she is SOLD to a nice man from NEW ZEALAND who intends to tour in her for 6/9 mths -I felt guilty when he asked very politely if I would accept 10k instead of the advertised price of 10.5k or offers -I told him I would and then knocked him another £250 off (9750)I also asked him what he had kit wise and when he said nothing I told him I would leave leave all pots, pans etc in for him.so it was ready to use -He said anything would be good -Got him a couple of bath sheets, pillows and a quilt along with a create of stella--all he needs now is food(y)Van is half full of diesel and 2 full gas bottles -Spent a couple of hours yesterday emptying all our personal stuff (time to recycle Ann's gear from the van--getting emotional-did not think I would) you don't realize just how much stuff you accumulate -my front room is getting like my garage :rolleyes:
I did not bother emptying the van because I was still using it and honestly did not mind keeping her if she did not sell -Only Caddy and transit to go now -Pauls bought a car so Caddy is up for sale proper (may be sold if interested party turns up) and transit is at Durham on a forecourt so fingers crossed I may be M/H-less for a few weeks :D

Nice gesture Terry giving your equipment as well to the Kiwi, He'll have a great time touring in your old van.

John.
I have almost everything for the new van John, inc pots and pans :DJust Need to find a van (y):)

nice gesture.. and great for Anglo NZ relations.. (y)

but don't start a van dealership Terry.. you'll go bust in a month..
:D:DDoubt that Jim, I have had the van for 8 and half yrs and it cost me in total 10.5k to make -plus I offered a 10 % discount to any funster buying so I came out just above 250 on the deal (y)Admittedly I could have been another 250 up (500-on funster) but it's only money -£750 or £500 if I did not give him the 250 is not bad going in my book-Less than £90 a yrs deprecation --to tell the truth I think he would have paid full asking price ;)

I'm so pleased it s going to someone who will appreciate it Terry.

Feeling a bit emotional on your behalf..... sorting out another person's effects is always tough, no wonder people get house clearance specialists to do it.

Well done Terry. Feel for you re clearing out stuff. It's tough. I'm still working on my Mums. Sometimes it makes you laugh, sometimes you cry. And sometimes you can't face it at all! But it gets done eventually. Good luck with your next project. (y)

That's great news, but why no photos?
