Hi all,

Have a Ford Transit based Herald Squire CK and purchased two front swivel seats out of a VW. I’ve had the seats recovered but now it’s fitting time.

Question I have is has anyone changed their seats like the above in my case I’ll have to take measurements of the current seat hight, make a template of each seat base and weld up a new seat base so I can bolt the new seats in place and then the base will fit the current bolt holes in the floor.

Or does anyone know any other way around it?

Thanks all.

I have to agree your proposed method is not only correct but logical
I might have fitted the seats first and the Had them recoverd

Just wondering why you changed the seats and not kept it original and just had them recovered. A classic motorhome in years to come.

Because the seats do not revolve so I purchased a set from fleabay at £170 and got them recovered at £250 so once fitted they will be useful and cheer the old girl up.

Plus I’m getting the rear seats and curtains done to match.

Waiting on the headrests and I’m getting plastic bits plastic dipped because they are a cream colour.
